Hardee's: Modern Day Dynasty?

hardees.com

The word "dynasty" is often used to describe the likes of the 1950's New York Yankees, 1960's Boston Celtics, 1970's UCLA Men's Basketball, 1980's Los Angeles Lakers and 1990's Chicago Bulls...but is there a modern day dynasty?

There was the Trinity College Men's Squash team who lost their 13-year, 252 match winning streak in 2012 but let's be honest, that record is almost as exciting as the vegetable. Some people argue the University of Alabama football program is the most recent dynasty with winning three of the last four BCS National Championships. If they run the table and become champions again this year they will have all but solidified their spot on the above mentioned list (and rightfully so), but before the crown is handed to the Crimson Tide I ask if we are fully exploring all possibilites...

All the teams above have one major thing in common, they perform when expected and always seem to find a way to win. So if a solid performance when expected is a key contributor, is it out of reason to think outside of the field of play?

Hardee's always seems to land top-level talent. From breakfast to lunch, their roster is a favorite in any matchup and the true freshman Maple Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit is no exception.

As I began to unwrap the Made From Scratch Buttermilk Biscuit my first reaction was I hope it tasted better than it looked. Sloppily constructed, the Egg was falling off the backside, the American Cheese had seemed to slide off the front, and the Maple Sausage Links were arranged in a way I had to do a double-take to see if all three were there. But after taking my first bite and tasting the sweet, crisp, maple sausage and the warm, melt-in-your-mouth buttery biscuit, all the other senses took over and I quickly remembered why Hardee's should be considered in the dynasty conversation.

Consistant game-winning performances from all items on their star-studded menu (get it? Hardee's logo is a star) provide a strong case for Hardee's to be top of the modern day dynasty hierarchy. Continuing to reload with talent such as Maple Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit not only adds to their argument, but it also leaves me anxiously waiting to see what's next. Seriously, when was the last time they missed on signing a new item?

While this sweet victory was not much to look at, it was yet another "W" at the end of the morning from a team that I have grown to expect nothing less.
